Hello Friends!! I am super excited to share this post with you today. I first came across the idea for this post on YouTube. I am admittedly addicted to watching it. One of my favorite Youtubers, Mr. Hank Green first posted this video of his 15 favorite feelings. I loved it, and then when I thought it couldn't get any better, Estee from Essie Button saw his video and was inspired to post her own as well. So I thought I would give it a go here in blog form. Please check out their videos, I know you will enjoy them as much as I did. Grab your tea and settle in. This is a long one!
1.Migraine's are gone - I unfortunately get Chronic Migraines. Quickly, what this means is I have migraines that can last for weeks on end. So when I finally wake up and there is no more pain or any of the other symptoms, it is a joyous moment. I dare say it might be my favorite feeling of all time.
2. Clean apartment - This one is kind of self explanatory. I am better at whatever I may be doing if I am doing it in a clean, organized environment. Some people thrive in chaos, but I am not one of those people.
3. Laughing with besties - I am very lucky to have some of the best friends in the whole world!! They are kind, giving, and best of all, they make me laugh like no one else can. Nothing can beat the feeling of laughing with them about, well, whatever really. We go way back, and I love to reminisce about the good times and all the adventures we have had.
4. Sitting on my parents back porch - My parents have a wonderful set up in their back yard. They have a decent sized covered porch that you can enjoy in most types of weather. I love to sit out there and watch the birds, eat, or relax with a cup of tea during a summer storm. It's very peaceful and relaxing.
5. Easy Sunday mornings - Me and Dante try and savor our Sundays. We do everything in our power to have nothing to do on Sundays and take it slow. We get up slowly, come out to the main area of our apartment, and just relax. We drink our coffee. We rarely turn on the TV for the morming time. Instead, we use the time to read. I dread Mondays, so we try and make Sundays go as slow as possible.
6. Being tired after a good hike - I love to go hiking. I don't do it as much as I should, but there is something so satisfy about being genuinely tired after a challenging hike in the woods.
7. Taking off my bra - Do I really need to say anything more here, ladies? I think not. Moving on!
8. Waking up naturally from a nap - Naps: what a luxury. They don't happen often enough, but every once in awhile, I sneak one in. My favorites are the one where I don't have to set an alarm. I just wake up refreshed.
9. Being in the woods - As I mentioned above, I love hiking and being out in the woods in general. There is something (dare I say) magical about being amongst the trees. I love the smell of the air, I love to see the sun shining down through the trees, I like to feel the cool water of a stream on my feet.
10. Foot rub - The feeling of a good foot massage is hard to beat.

11. Being scared at a Haunted House - I love a good haunted house. Walking around in a dark space knowing that something is lurking, waiting to jump out at me, hearing that dreaded chain saw off in the distance and knowing I will have to face it soon is just so much fun!! No matter how prepared I am for it (hoodie pulled tight, chap stick applied, hair pulled back, Nike's on and ready to run) I am still going to jump every time some creature jumps out at me.
12. Finishing a book - I get so much satisfaction out of completing a book. I feel accomplished; that would be the best way to describe the feeling I get after finishing a book.
13. Completing an origami project - There are some tricky origami projects out there. I love when I stumble upon a challenging one and I'm able to master it. I am not even mad if it looks like it's been hassled when I am done, because I know once I figure it out, I can do it again and make it better the next time. I still need to conquer the Caledula flower, but I you can bet your sweet cheeks I will figure it out!!!
14. Clean sheets - Nothing is better than sliding between cool, fresh sheets!!! It feels so good, and for one night, I get the best sleep on my life!!!
15. Checking off a completed task from a to-do list - I am a to-do list kinda person. I write one most days to keep me on track. I love when a task is completed. I even have a certain way of doing it. I draw a line through it and then come back through the line with swirls so it is completely covered up.
Well folks, these are some of my favorite feelings. I would love to hear what feelings make you happy. Comment down below!
Peace, Love and Trees,
Kelli
