This idea originally came from a book-tube tag called 'Villain Squad'. WhittyNovels' Youtube channel is where I first came across this fun idea. Here is a link to her video, if you are interested:
She is really funny, btw, so you should check her out! :)
Here is how to do this tag in blog form! Below are seven categories of villain and the seven baddies I've picked to be part of my squad. I am a HUGE fan of the 'bad guy', especially when they are complex. A good bad guy can steal the show (ahem, Loki), and I have always been fascinated by what makes people 'bad'.
So, befitting the season of monsters, bad guys, ghouls, and ghosts, here is my Villain Squad!
The Leader: Pick
a leader to lead the squad.
Professor
Umbridge- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
The Killer Smile:
Pick a villain who’s just extremely attractive.
Loki- The Marvel Universe
The Loose Canon:
Pick a villain who marches to the beat of their own drum.
Mister Dark-
Fables Series
The Unhinged One:
Pick a villain that isn’t playing with a full deck.
Nathaniel
Sorrows- The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
I couldn't find a picture for Nathaniel, but he slaughters birds because he feels like the angel living down the street is the 'real deal' and the birds don't deserve to fly- or live- any longer. So... yeah. Definitely a few cards short of a full deck.
The Redeemer:
Pick a villain that’s on a path of redemption/would play both
sides.
Jamie Lannister-
Game of Thrones Series
The Evil One:
Pick a villain that is just bad to the bone.
Mr. Croup and Mr.
Vandemar- Neverwhere
The
Once-Was-Good: Pick a villain that didn’t originally start out as a
villain.
Jack Merridew-
Lord of the Flies
Who would you pick to be on your villain squad? Leave your ideal squad or favorite villain in the comments below!
Happy scaring! And happy fall!
-Sarah.
